Everyone knows my rule. If it's on the internet, my first instinct is to think its fake, staged, didn't happen, and, if I care enough I'll do the research and see if its real, and sure enough, this incident seems to have really happened. You heard me folks. Four children not only survived a plane crash, but went on to survive 40 days in the amazon jungle.
Four children.
13, 9, 4, and an INFANT.
an INFANT.
Looks like they survived eating seeds and fruits.
"Authorities and family members have said the siblings survived eating cassava flour and seeds, and that some familiarity with the rainforest's fruits were also key to their survival. The kids are members of the Huitoto Indigenous group."
The entire ordeal must have been terrifying.
"Fidencio Valencia, a child's uncle, told the media outlet Noticias Caracol that the children were starting to talk and one of them said they hid in tree trunks to protect themselves in a jungle area filled with snakes, animals and mosquitoes. He said they were exhausted."
I'm not much of an emotional person, but I can't imagine the relief the father must have felt upon hearing his children survived. I'd be in tears. All and all, this story, its incredible.
The comment section never ceases to disappoint.

I'd love to see a movie or read the novel about their 40 days, but, as we all know, Netflix will probably ruin it.
