Talented Diversity Suffers pt. 2

https://www.ign.com/articles/john-boyega-disney-sidelining-non-white-star-wars-characters-criticism "It's so difficult to manoeuvre," Boyega explained. "You get yourself involved in projects and you're not necessarily going to like everything. [But] what I would say to Disney is do not bring out a black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are and then have them pushed to the side. It's not good. I'll say it straight  I remember when the movie was announced and the first trailers were shown, everyone talking about how Boyega the token and Disney was pandering. We were all told to shut up and we were wrong and FINALLY Star Wars was getting representation (despite Samuel Jackson playing Mace Windu in the prequels). As it turns out, we were right.
