When socialism works
The military is communism. You get paid, based off of rank, rather than the work you do, which leads to “unfairness” and “inequality.” For instance: in the Air Force, flightline mechanics often work long hours (12-13 hours) at all hours of the day (shift work) in the elements (extreme cold and heat) with hazardous chemicals (often known to cause cancer), under heavy scrutiny (QA and leadership). They’re days off, time off and holidays are regularly taken away. The flightline mechanic doesn’t have time during work to go to PT to help pass their PT or go to school or volunteer. While finance (people that handle money) work banker hours in air conditioned buildings and almost always get their days off, time off, holidays and weekends. A SSgt working on the flightline and a SSgt working fianance get paid the exact same, despite being held to the same expectations as the finance SSgt.
