There’s Levels to Each Game

This applies to both boxing and real life. Mikey Garcia’s victory over Jessie Vargas really shows HOW GOOD, Errol Spence is and how good Mikey is. For Mikey to climb to 147 and not only beat Jessie Vargas, but drop him in the process, shows how good he is, which makes Errol Spence’s absolute domination over him that much better. It also shows how bad Adrian Broner is (he drew with Vargas). I remember, after Spence beat Mikey, people were kinda whatever about it, but now, people are starting to acknowledge how good Spence is.  Sometimes it takes someone else’s failure to really show how good you are. This type of validation applies outside of the ring because you never know how good you are until someone else comes along and attempts to do what you did. If they fail (as Jessie Vargas did) then it’s a somewhat objective measure of your abilities.
