They’ve got a reputation for scammy micro transactions, unfinished games, DLC, and recycling games, so I’m not really surprised they’re doing this. Hopefully, other companies don’t follow this ridiculous practice. This is why you should always buy physical copies. I understand that sometimes, a lot of indie developers only release digital, and I don’t mind supporting them that way, it’s not their fault they don’t have the resources to create physical copies of their games, but indie developers aren’t engaging in shady practices like Ubisoft. But physical!
