A Soul Not for Sale
WATCH THIS DOCUMENTARY!! Before I start this article, I want to say, Andre Ward is my second favorite boxer, a hall of famer, the last male boxer to win a gold medal, and, IMO, ranks within the twenty best boxers of all time. Outside the ring, he's had no scandals, been married to the same woman for like twenty years, active in the community, and has a great family. He didn't break character, he didn't sell his soul, he didn't put on a front. He did it his way, and, I'm sure if he was standing over my shoulder he'd say he did it Gods way. I'm sure if he would've "been more entertaining" outside of the ring, maybe he would've made more money, and for the sake of argument, lets say that's true. So what? He seems to be doing just fine.
