Fast and Furious Series is the Best Litmus Test

I use the FF movies as litmus tests to see if people think too highly of themselves or take themselves too seriously. Two years ago, I was in the squadron BS'ing (as I often do) and one of the FF movies (probably 7 or 8) was coming out.

The subject of movies came up and I had said "New FF coming out this weekend. I love the FF movies. I'm there, DAY ONE!" Someone, guy, probably late twenties, looked up from his desk, a look of ANNOYANCE, SMUGNESS, ALMOST AS IF TO SAY HOW DARE ANYONE MENTION SUCH LOW BROW ENTERTAINMENT IN MY PRESENCE was written on his face.

"I only watch documentaries and educational series."

I looked at him dead in the eye. "So you hate fun and you think you're smarter than everyone else?"

Several emotions ran across his face. Confusion, frustration, then apathy. He shrugged his shoulders. "I never said that."

"You're right," I responded. "I don't think you would say that publicly, but in my experience, people who," I made the air quotes with my fingers "Only watch documentaries and hate the FF movies think they're smarter than everyone else."

This guy, he wasn't a bad guy at all, but after getting to know him, he MOST DEFINITLY believed he was smarter than everyone else.

To further prove my point...

Anyway...
