Conspiracy Theorists were Right pt.2

HBO boss Casey Bloys admits and apologizes for using fake accounts to fire back at those who make negative comments about HBO shows. “[I was] working from home & doing an unhealthy amount of scrolling through Twitter. And I came up with a very dumb idea to vent my frustration.” pic.twitter.com/uIwZ0J1tsa — DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) November 2, 2023 Can reviews even be trusted anymore? We know critic reviews are bought and paid for, but it seems like user reviews are also faked as well, granted, I think user reviews are still a better metric for judging entertainment than critic reviews, but, like everything else on the internet, just assume its fake until proven otherwise. I just look at a trailer, and my sense of whether or not a game or movie will be good, based on the trailer, is pretty accurate, but its been honed for 20 years. Whatever you do, DO NOT, see it/buy it for yourself. You're giving the company your money, and if the movie/game sucked, there's no way y...

Reality

This video can be looked at it so many different ways, but I want to focus on the self defense aspect of it. You see a lot of "self defense" videos and "knife defense" videos that look like this: @selfdefensegoat Knife Defense When an Attacker Has You Trapped. Just run is always the best self defense advise especially when a knife is involved, but what do you do when you can't run. Video made with @Budo Brothers #selfdefence #selfdefense #fma #knifedefense #kevingoat #attack #pinned #trapped ♬ original sound - Self Defense with Kevin Goat Or like this:   View this post on Instagram A post shared by Leel Chanaka (@beatsnature) People in the fighting community know, actually, let me take that back, people in the fighting community who aren't suckers know, when it comes to "knife defense," there really isn't any. The best thing to do is run, and when you can't run, you have to commit to whatever attack yo...

The Comfort Trap

Image
The comfort trap, or by its more popular moniker; First World Problems. Yes, the privileged , the rich, the upper middle class are mostly fall victim to the comfort trap. I'm not trying to get all motivational and inspirational, I'm just pointing out what I see.  The poor and destitute have their own traps, but that's for another post. One might say, "What problems do the rich and privilege have? they can just buy their way out!" And while that is most definitely true, I maintain that they cannot buy their way out of the comfort trap because they aren't even aware they're in the comfort trap in the first place. They were born  into the comfort trap. Their entire lives, reality, and existence is the comfort trap, and its precisely why they can buy their way out of their problems that they're in the comfort trap in the first place. Care broke down? Something in the house broke down? They just pay someone to fix it, while everyone else either has to go th...

Zuckerberg Rebrand Pt. 3

Mark Zuckerberg tore his ACL while training for his MMA fight 👀 pic.twitter.com/SsE0r495DY — Daily Loud (@DailyLoud) November 4, 2023 I'm not saying I'm convinced! but if there is a way to convince the greater fighting community that you're "one of them" it's to hold the fist up during any sort of photo. Honestly, it's like a reflex, we can't help it, it's like a vegan who can't help but tell you they're vegan, it's an unnatural compulsion all fighters have, and one that can be easily faked. Again, I'm not sure if any of this is real, and when it comes to the internet and billionaires, my first thought is fake. He's training for an MMA fight, but the problem with this, is, he's a billionaire! How can we even begin to believe the fight will be legitimate? It's not out of the realm of possibility that Zuckerberg will pay his opponent to take it easy, but on the other hand, he could legitimately be training for a fight. Ag...

Correction isn't Narcissism

Show video of mayweather during canelo charlo press conference some guy said mayweather was one of the greatest then mayweatehr corrects him and ppl say mayweather full of himself and narcissistic but thats not true because if there was a scientists at the podium and this scientist worked on landing a robot onto the surface of mars and some reporter said that didn't happen and the scientist corrected him, ppl would be like "TALK YOUR TALK! THAT'S RIGHT!" or if a teacher taught 500 kids and a reporter was like you taught 300 kids she'd be like no, i taught 500, correcting, and no one would call either of them narcissits, but because its Floyd and he's cocky and he beat your favorite fighter you're gonna call him a narcisst, no im not trying to compare boxing to landing a robot on mars or teacher 500 kids im just using that as an example to illustrate my point.

Cowardice Breeds Tyrants

This is a great post. How many people started out like this? They perform an incredible acts of service, they go above and beyond the call of duty, and in return all they want is something simple and reasonable, which often times is well within the power and rights of the entity they performed the act of service for, and what happens?  They're denied.  I've seen this happen in the military many times. An airmen went above and beyond, then asked his leadership for something simple in return, and what happens? It gets denied, and very rarely does it get denied for an appropriate reason. Leadership always made up some nonsense as to why they couldn't do it, when really they were just terrified to ask the people above them, or, if leadership had the power to honor the airmen's request, they were too scared to do it because someone, somewhere, might  think less of them. In the case of Anakin, he became a dictator. "This is BS! I'm going to rise to power, create a ...
